July 2015

Places to visit

July is normally a very quiet month, most birds are settled down but a few non breeding or failed breeding birds will start to migrate early, a few waders will be turning up on suitable areas such as the Cotswold water park, Chew Valley Lake, Severn Beach / Northwick Wetlands and Slimbridge

You could also do as I do, go out looking for Butterflies instead!

Recent Bird records (South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the old county of Avon)

Reports in RED are my own sightings (number) = total species seen this year so far, I am trying to get to 250 in one year!

Total so far this year 220
