Do you offer part exchange options?
We are happy to offer part exchange for both new and used equipment. Simply contact us with a description of your items & we can give you an idea of the value and once we have examined the goods we will make you an offer. Exchanges are normally processed within 7 days (Subject to stock availability). You will have to pay the difference if the goods you require are more expensive than your original order and we will refund you any difference if the goods you require are any cheaper than your original order. We do ask that you return the unwanted item to us at your own expense. Any items are your responsibility until they have been received by ourselves.
Do you buy used items?
We purchase good quality photographic and optical equipment – you can either pop in to the shop or post your items in to us for a quote.
How does shipping work?

Deliveries are between 08:30-18:00 Mon-Fri and require a signature, please confirm in the comments box on the order page which day(s) are most convenient for delivery.

Please note: If you wish to ship to an address different to the cardholder's billing address (e.g. a work address), we may contact you for further details to mitigate the risk of fraudulent transactions.

Deliveries to England, Wales & South Scotland are normally next day.

Please note some items may have a surcharge due to certain destinations or to weight restrictions, we will contact you before processing your order if this applies.

International Orders & Shipping Information

We are able to accept orders from outside the British Isles on most of our products.

The countries we send to include :

Within the EC : Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, Bulgaria, Demark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

Outside the EC : Such as Andorra, Australia, Azores, Balearic Islands, Canada, Canary Islands, Corsica, Maderia, Monaco, New Zealand, South Africa, and USA.

Carriage charges start from £30 for an average pair of binoculars and from £75 for a scope kit including tripod.

We have two main services for sending goods abroad – Insured courier and Royal Mail overseas services. Items being delivered within the EC are sent by courier. If the item is small and under 2kg we will send via the Royal Mail services. Items being delivered outside the EC are mostly sent by Royal Mail Airsure or International Signed For. These services have weight and size limits. If the item/s are over these limits we can get a quote from our couriers.

Delivery times can vary from 2-10 days depending on your location and service used.

Please Contact Us for a quote and let us know what item/s you would like to order and location the goods will be sent to, including the region. We will send through a quote within 48hrs showing the item/s cost/s, carriage charges, and time scales.


Payment

We offer two options-Payment by Bank Transfer from outside the British Isles (excluding Southern Ireland). This process takes around 3-5 days to clear and has a small admin charge of £10. Payment must be made in Pounds Sterling due to exchange rate fluctuations. Once the amount is cleared the goods will be sent to the required address.

The details consist of our Bank name, IBAN number, and SWIFT code. If your bank requires any further details please let us know.

Alternatively we accept PayPal payment to the verified account holder address.


VAT

We are able to supply most new items excluding VAT to countries outside the UK ( There is no reclaimable VAT on our used items ). The VAT is removed at the time of sale and the goods have to be sent outside the UK. If the goods are sent to a UK address then the VAT is applicable.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE : Most items delivered outside the UK will be liable for local import taxes and duties which would need to be collected by the delivery agent before delivery – Please check with your local customs office.

Do used/secondhand items have any guarantee?
Most of our used products - with the exception of goods sold on a commision basis - carry a 3 month warranty with ourselves. The specific details of any warranty will be described in the product listings on our website. Should you have any issues during the warranty period, simply return the goods to us and we will endeavour to resolve the matter to your satisfaction in the first instance through our network of expert repair agents. This does not affect your statutory rights to return the goods within 14 days if for any reason, you are unsatisfied. How do refunds work?
In the unlikely event you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, Ace Optics will offer you a refund within 14 days of you receiving your order, providing items are returned to Ace Optics in original, as supplied condition with proof of purchase. Goods must be returned with all accessories, packaging and instructions. Items may be returned in person to our Bath store or returned by post. The cost of returning an item is to be borne by the customer. If returning by post we recommend an insured, tracked service. Refunds will be issued by the same method as original payment was made and refunds will be issued within 14 days of Ace Optics receiving your returned items.
